BEST CHINESE CHICKEN WINGS

BEST CHINESE CHICKEN WINGS – In China, braised Coca-Cola Chicken Wings is one of the most popular dishes. To make juicy and delicious BBQ style wings, it combines the Chinese way of braising with Coca-Cola.

The fundamental Chinese braising procedure is used in this Chicken wings dish. This way entails stir-frying the meat over high heat, adding spices and sauce, then simmering until the meat is soft, correcting the flavor and thickening the sauce at the end.

Braised Coca-Cola chicken wings can be made in a variety of ways. The simplest method is to combine chicken wings, soy sauce, and Coca-Cola in a skillet and cook until well heated. However, if you want juicy chicken wings with a charred surface (rather than sloppy skin) and a flavorful flavor that isn’t merely sweet, you’ll have to put in a little more work.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

— 1 scallion
— 3 slices of ginger
— 1 tbs light soy sauce
— 1 tbs dark soy sauce (optional)
— Cooking Oil
— 12 oz (ca. 454 g) Coca-Cola/Pepsi
— 1 can of beer to marinade than 1/2 cup to cook with

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:

Wash wings in cold water and pat thoroughly dry with paper towels.

Poke some small holes on the back & front of the chicken wings, so it marinates deeper into the meat.

Soak the chicken wings in a bowl using a can of beer for 1 hour to tenderize the meat.

Chop up scallion into small pieces.

Cut 3 slices of ginger.

Heat up wok/pan until it is hot. Add some cooking oil, and add the white parts of the scallion first & 3 pieces of ginger.

Stir-fry for 30 seconds, then add the chicken wings into the wok/pan.

Spread out the wing pieces in a single layer, and lightly brown them for a few minutes on each side. The wok should be over high heat.

Add about half a cup of beer that was used for marinate into the wok/pan, cook until the liquid is reduced by half. Then, Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce.

Add 1 teaspoon of dark soy sauce. (For a darker caramel color)

Now add the Coca-Cola to chicken wings

Bring it to a boil, cover the lid, and turn down the heat to medium.

Let it simmer for 12-15 minutes–until the sauce is almost dry (though there should still be a small pool of thick sauce at the bottom of the wok). Stir the wings.

Now turn up the heat, and quickly stir the wings until the sauce coats each piece. Ready to plate & serve!

Note :

Diet Coke/Pepsi will not work!
