CREAMY LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE

CREAMY LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE – My favorite steakhouse side dish is lobster mac & cheese, and this recipe will make your home seem just like a high-end restaurant. This dish would be a wonderful addition to any holiday party or Christmas dinner menus, as it is ideal for special events and holidays.

INGREDIENTS:
— 1 – 1 +1/2 cups cooked lobster meat (I used cracked lobster claw meat from Sam’s Club)
— 1 pound cavatappi pasta noodles
— 1/2 stick salted butter
— 2 tablespoon flour
— 2 teaspoon garlic, minced
— 16 ounces Colby Jack cheese
— 16 ounces Gouda cheese
— 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
— 32 ounces heavy cream
— 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (I used old bay seasoning)
— 1/2 teaspoon thyme
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Prepare cavatappi pasta noodles “al dente” according to the directions on the box
Drain the pasta noodles and set aside
In a large, deep pot melt butter, add flour, and mix until smooth
Add minced garlic, mix well
Pour in heavy cream and add Cajun seasoning and thyme, mix well
Add Gouda and Colby Jack cheese, mix well
Allow cheese sauce to cook 5-7 minutes on medium low until fully melted, stirring as it cooks
Add pasta noodles to cheese sauce, mix well
Add lobster, mix well
In a large, deep baking dish – spray non-stick spray and pour in lobster Mac & cheese
Top with sharp cheddar cheese and bake for 30 minutes
Remove from oven and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before serving
