EASY MOZZARELLA CHICKEN WITH MARINARA SAUCE AND MUSHROOMS

— 1 c Mozzarella cheese, shredded
— 1 c marinara sauce
— ½ c mushrooms, sliced
— ¼ tsp salt
— 4 chicken breasts, skinless, boneless
— ½ tbsp Italian seasoning
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Lay the chicken breasts into a casserole dish and arrange them in a single layer.
Sprinkle salt and Italian seasoning over the chicken, then toss until well coated.
Add mushroom slices over each chicken breast.
Add marinara sauce on top of the chicken breasts and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Place the casserole dish inside the preheated oven and bake the chicken breasts for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until done.
Turn the broiler, then broil the chicken for 4 minutes before the cooking time ends.
Remove from the oven and allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
