GRANDMA’S CUCUMBER SALAD RECIPE – An old-school classic recipe. Refreshing, cool and crisp, perfect on hot summer days. This is the perfect side dish for any family gathering, picnic, BBQ, or potluck – even better, it’s budget friendly!
GRANDMA’S CUCUMBER SALAD RECIPE
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
— 5 large cucumbers, peeled and sliced very thin
— 1 large onion, peeled, sliced very thin, and separated into rings
— 3/4 cup mayonnaise OR Miracle Whip
— 3/4 cup whole milk
— 1/4 cup sugar (*omit if using Miracle Whip)
— 1/4 cup white vinegar
— 1/4 cup fresh, chopped dill OR 2 Tablespoons dry dill
— Salt and pepper, to taste
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:
In a large mixing bowl, blend all of the ingredients until they are uniformly distributed. Cover and chill for at least two hours, or until completely chilled. This salad can stay in the refrigerator for 5 days if kept covered.
