— 1 pound (ca. 454 g) lean ground beef
— 2 envelopes taco seasoning divided
— ¾ cup water
— 2 cups sour cream
— 8 ounces (ca. 302 g) cream cheese, softened
— 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
— 2 roma tomatoes seeds removed, diced
— ¼ cup red onion finely chopped
— ½ cup sliced black olives
— ¼ cup cilantro
Add sour cream and cream cheese to a medium mixing bowl. Beat to combine until smooth. Add one envelope of taco seasoning – mixing until combined.
Spread into bottom of 9×9 baking dish and refrigerate while you’re browning the beef.
Then, In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add water and 1 envelope taco seasoning; cook until thickened. Cool slightly.
Spread ground beef mixture over cream cheese.
