HENNY BBQ MEATBALL RECIPE
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
MEATBALLS:
— 1/2 pound of ground pork
— 1 pound (ca. 454 g) of ground beef
— 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
— 1/2 cup ProgressoTM Panko crunchy Italian bread crumbs
— 2 garlic cloves, grated
— Seasoning with salt and pepper
— One egg
SAUCE:
— A half cup of barbecue sauce
— 1/2 cup brown sugar
— 2 tbsp. Chile powder (or to taste)
— Chives, chopped (for garnish)
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:
To make the meatballs, combine all of the ingredients and roll them into balls.
In a large frying pan, heat a little oil and add the meatballs one at a time, one by one.
Turn the meatballs after about 4 minutes of cooking and cook for another 4 minutes. Once they’ve been cooked on the outside, they should be less fragile. Start tossing them around in the pan a little more to ensure that they cook evenly and that none of them stick to the bottom. Although the majority of the fat should be drained, a few tablespoons should be left in the pan.
2 tablespoons water deglazes the pan, scraping up any stuck-on particles. If the pan appears to be too dry, add the brown sugar and a dash of water.
When the sauce starts to bubble, it should have the appearance of dark caramel.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the barbecue sauce to it. Everything should be well mixed together.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the barbecue sauce to it. Stir everything together completely.
Enjoy !
