— One large onion
— One bell pepper
— Three sweet sausages
— 4 stalks of organic celery Not finely chopped
— Minced garlic clove
— 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
— 5 Bay Leaves
— 3 cups of chicken broth
— 3 cups of water
— 1 1/2 lb of peeled deveined raw shrimp
— 1 lb of boneless and skinless chicken thighs
— 1 lb of crab claws
— 1/2 pound of chopped okra
— 2 tbsp Creole Seasoning
— 7 sprigs of fresh thyme
— 2 cans of Fire Roasted Tomatoes
Start this Seafood Gumbo by making a Roux with oil and flour in a cast-iron skillet, then at the end add your onion, celery, and bell pepper.
Add in the cooked roux to the crockpot with all my ingredients except the seafood and I cooked it on high for 4 hours.
Once done, add the shrimp and crab claws, Let it cook for an additional 45 minutes.
Have with a side of bread.
