INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR NUTTER BUTTER BALLS:
— Cookies: 16 ounce (ca. 605 g) package of Family Size Nutter Butter Cookies to have a lot of balls.
— Cream Cheese: 8 ounces (ca. 302 g) of softened cream cheese. Using whole fat cream cheese is recommended.
— Chocolate: 10 ounces (ca. 378 g) of chocolate melting wafers, or 10 ounces (ca. 378 g) of chocolate chips to make the covering for these truffles.
— Powdered sugar: 1/4 cup of powdered sugar to add in a smooth sweetness.
— Creamy peanut butter: 1/4 cup of your favorite creamy peanut butter.
— Salt: 1/4 teaspoon of salt if desired.
— For Garnish: You can top the balls with some sprinkles just to get a nice appearance.
INSTRUCTIONS RECIPE OF NUTTER BUTTER BALLS:
In a food processor, pour the package of cookies and process until get fine crumbs. Save some for garnish.
Add the Peanut Butter, Sugar, and Cream Cheese to the food processor and mix until combined.
Using hands, roll the dough into balls, and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet, continue until complete in the dough.
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave, still stirring until smooth.
When the chocolate is melted, dip each ball into the chocolate and place them into parchment paper.
For the garnish, sprinkle immediately the leftover crumbs or any other garnish sprinkles.
Let the balls to cool at room temperature until become hard. Or freeze them in the fridge to boost the process.
