SHRIMP SCAMPI FRITTA

SHRIMP SCAMPI FRITTA – One of my favorite Olive Garden appetizers is this dish! This 3-ingredient copycat recipe is incredibly simple to make!
This fried shrimp is wonderful! The Shrimp Scampi Fritta is available in two versions (Spicy and Classic) and is one of Olive Garden’s best-tasting shrimp dishes!
Serve it as an appetizer, lunch with fries, or dinner on top of spaghetti!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
— 16 oz (ca. 605 g) Raw Large shrimp thawed, rinsed and drained
— 1/2 cup House Autry Seafood Breader
— 2 tbsp Sweet Chili Sauce
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS:
Toss the shrimp with the breading in a large zip-top bag. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat 1 cup of oil over medium-high heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden and shrunken.
Before serving, drizzle with sweet chili sauce.
NOTES :
For the seafood breader, use 1/2 cup flour, cornstarch, or a blend of cornmeal and flour. Season to taste with spices. Breading can also be produced with homemade Bisquick.
Dip shrimp in beaten egg before breading for a thicker coating, or mix an egg into the batter with a little water if needed for a fluffier batter.
