STEAK AND CHEESY BACON POTATO ROUNDS – Look no further than this recipe for Steak and Cheesy Bacon Potato Rounds for an easy and delicious way to prepare steak and potatoes. This dish is ideal for a family dinner or hosting guests. It’s simple to prepare and sure to please everyone!
— Porterhouse steak
— 2 medium-sized russet potatoes
— 2 slices crispy fried bacon (crumbled)
— Cheddar cheese
This is a steak that I seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and basil… that’s all. I baked it in a CI frying pan with a small amount of EVOO for 3 minutes on each side, followed by 10 minutes in a preheated 400 °C oven. The ideal medium-rare steak. But it’s these french fries that I’m most excited to share with you.
I washed and dried some medium-sized russet potatoes (with skin), microwaved them for about 7-8 minutes, let them cool, and then sliced them to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Season with salt, pepper, and basil, then cook in an EVOO-prepped frying pan until both sides are crispy and golden. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese and crushed bacon on top of the potatoes while they are still hot. The insides of these potatoes are soft and fluffy, while the outsides are crispy.
